Ok, I'm well grown-up, I know..but my childish side sometimes just call for attention and wants to come out, so I just surrender to it...^__-
I say all this because I'm addicted to an obscene amount of things such decos, stationary, penpalling, crafts, Sanrio (+ others) stuff, and loads of things which can be considered "kawaii"... =^-^=
Among these, are bentos..
About a year and a half ago, I found some web sites regarding bentos by chance and immediately fell in love...^___- I obviously looked for some italian sites..and found a really interesting one, even if the owner wasn't such a nice person..so I decided not to take part in her community..until now, actually..
I'm not interested in her community, of course, but in another one which I found recently, called "Pazze per il bento".
It's a great forum in which one can talk about many things, not only bentos, as I have understood. And there is a sweet, nice, fiendly ambiance that definetely convinced me to have my "coming out"..
By the way, I bought some things I thought could help me in preparing bentos, and tried..and I had great results, I must say! Well, in my opinion, of course! I liked them and figured out the whole process being so much fun and relaxing! You all have to try! It's such a great satisfaction!! ^____^
Here we go..these are the things I bought during this year (something is missing 'cause I gave those things away as a present!)..plus some other molds and other side dishes!
And this is my first bento ever..one year ago! I have done many others but haven't took a picture, though...:-( I'll do it in the future! ^__^

Here I am, again..
What a busy month it was..I had 2 important exams and more are coming..one on Monday, another one on Friday..then on the 9th of June and so on until the 10th of July...I'll definetely have a break then, 'til August..
I have so little time for the things I like..my Yahoo groups, penpalling, decorating, reading books I like..ahhhhh why can't the days be made of 50 hours?? But it wouldn't be enough too..uff..
In my recent little little spare time I've been looking for some more information about "mind maps"..does anyone know them? Of course you know them, ok, but I mean everything which is beside.. It's sort of linking concepts and facts using maps..decorating them with bright and different colours..this is said to help mind linking and it stimulates both of your brain emispheres, and of course it really helps creativity and memorizing..I think it's very interesting!
I've heard about it from a blogger I know, who has achieved her guaduation in 2 years, even if it was a 3 years course..she said that it is the more helpful things she has ever experienced in studying..she used her creativity (she's a great scrapobooker) to help her brain building maps about books she had to read, lectures she attended, and so on.
Wow, this left me breathless..could this ever work for me too?? I'D LIKE SOOO MUCH! It's has been quite difficult to memorize, recently..I mean, I need a lot of time to read a book, sum it up and study it..this could help me in a great way.
So, I decided to learn more about it and I found some really interesting sites on the web and a bunch of interesting comments too! If you are interested in understanding what all this is about, visit:

I'm definetely going to try some mind mapping in studying but also in organizing the thousands of things I have to do..
When I'll finish my first one, I'll post it here!
***Happy mind mapping, then!!***
Yes!! Today I got mail, eventually!!
So happy because this girl from Indonesia is the sweetest one and sure she made my day! ^__^
And what about the 2 viewcards I received from Zagreb?? So lovely!! <3
Well, my mother is Croatian, from Pula, but I've never been to Zagreb...and this nice girl from "Postcrossing" (great site!!!) trade with me: I sent her 2 viewcards from Genova, she sent me 2 viewcards from Zagreb! ^__^ So happy!!!!
I have to begin reading Martin Amis' "Koba the Dread" for my Contemporary History exam..I think it should be quite interesting, as I know so much about Olocaust and so less about Comunism's deaths.
I'm so much interested in history..I can't conceive how people can live without knowing what happened in the past, actually..but I also understand that we aren't all the same, so this happens frequently, and it's a pity..
At the moment I'm also into English pragmatics exam that I hate so much...@_@ and Russian..and Advanced Computer Science (dunno if it's correct, though! ^_-)..
I'm QUITE busy...
And actually I don't have enough strength at the moment..I have some health problem to solve..and I think this should have the priority, but it isn't so. I've a BED. Well..I don't want to talk about this actually, just because I don't want to get you all depressed in a moment!! AHAH!! ^____^
Tomorrow here in Italy we'll celebrate the 63th anniversary of the Italian liberation...but I'll celebrate it by signing the request for a referendum which has the aim to basically erase public funds to newspapers..whom news are literally BUYED by politicians, banks and rich entrepreneurs. I hope so much it will be useful. Italy is in deep shit.
During these days, 'til sunday, I won't be able to connect, so HAVE A NICE WEEKEND!!
I think next weekend I'll go to the seaside..I need to breathe some iodium.....^__-
Life's strange, really. Friends ask you how to behave with other friends who behave exactly like them...don't know what to say! If you're a liar and your friend is a liar with you too, maybe you deserve it somehow, or not? And most of all, you can't complain about that!!!
I think that if you're always sincere and honest, friends, true friends, will treat you as a fair person. That's only what I think about it.
Just random thoughts in this sunny morning...already so tired and demotivated..I think I'd better come back to my Russian books now..
See you later..maybe with something to say! ^__-
Ok, I guess I found my room now...here I am, let's start this blog with enthusiasm and frankness.
I'm an Italian student in languages at university who is proud of being Italian but not proud to live in Italy. This country totally sucks, I must say. I'm in a 3 year relationship with an adorable guy named "Gino", who is my life and strength.
I have couple of friends who all live away from me..but sometimes they actually don't "behave like true friends", or in the way I suppose a so called "true friend" should behave...I'm not so positive about "friendship", though I'm still looking for it. Everyone needs friends, or just someone to share in bad times, and good times too.
I obviously apologize for my poor English...I try to do my best but not always achieve! ^_^ Please, bear with me.
I think English is such an important part of my life...I mean, everything I say in English always seems so meaningful to me...nothing is stupid, meaningless or rethorical if I say it in English...it's so strange I can't even explain it, but it's like that. It has always been like that for me. In my journals I always write something in English...and it's the most important concept I want to emphasize...I have such a strong, intense relationship with this language...I can understand almost anything in English, even though I wish I could speak it soooooo much better. I lived one month in London and 3 weeks in Norwich, Uk. I miss this country so much.
I can also speak French and I love it. I lived in Toulouse for 4 months...such a great language...once you've experienced France, you can never get enough of it, you bet! ^___^
I've studied German for 5 years and I'm currently studying Russian, such an interesting language...but so so difficult! ^_^
I like reading so much, I "eat" books...hihi! I'm on ANOBII, a great site (Labyrinth83), I will never finish adding books I've read on it, but I'm trying! Recently I haven't had enough time to read what I'd like to read beause of university and my classes, but I love reading sooo much...my fave author is Jane Austen...and English '800 literature in general...I can dream about places, people, situations through books, and this feeling is priceless, in my opinion.
I like movies...I have seen hundreds of movies in my (short) life ^__^. I like movies in which something touches your heart, your soul. I don't like crap movies or B-movies...My fave director is Tim Burton...he's an authentic GENIUS. Never tired of watching his movies...pure poetry and imagination...nothing more to say, it's just TIM BURTON. ^__^
I like music...I like great voices and rythmes...R&B is my fave style and in particular black voices...some of my fave artists are Ligabue, Elisa (2 italian singers), Mariah Carey, John Legend, Tori Amos, Edith Piaf, Fabrizio De André, Jeff Buckley, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross and many many others...I like so many different styles of music!!
I'm into penpalling and so called "mail art"..I swap decos and fbs in particular, but also stationary and deco supplies...I'm addicted to these kind of stuff!! You can take a look at my Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vanessa_scrap/
Well, for a "first post" I think it should be enough!
Glad to have discovered "VOX".
